Polaris Privacy Policy
1. What Polaris does
Polaris is an AI platform. Job Seeker uses the CV you upload to find matching jobs and sends applications on your behalf from the Gmail account you connect.
2. Information we collect
- Account: name, username, email address and a hashed password.
- Chat and generated content: your conversations, requests and the websites or files generated for you.
- Job Seeker: your CV and information derived from it, your country and plan, payment status, and records of the applications sent (recipient, time, content).
- Google account connection: when you click Connect Gmail, Google asks you to approve sending email on your behalf (
gmail.send), seeing your Google account email address (userinfo.email) and basic sign-in (openid). We store that email address and an encrypted token that lets us send email from the account. Some earlier accounts connected with a Gmail app password instead, which is stored encrypted and used only to send applications. - Voice: if you use voice, your speech is processed to provide the feature.
- Cookies: one session cookie keeps you signed in. We use no advertising cookies.
3. What we do not access
The gmail.send permission only allows sending email. We do not read, list, search, delete or modify your emails, and we do not access your contacts, Drive or any other part of your Google account.
4. How we use your information
To provide the services above, match you with roles, send service emails about your account, and secure and troubleshoot the platform. We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.
5. Google API Services disclosure
Polaris's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide the Job Seeker features described here, and we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or sale of assets. We do not allow humans to read it unless you give consent, it is necessary for security or abuse investigation, or the law requires it. Gmail access tokens are never sent to AI providers.
6. Sharing and service providers
Employers and recruiters receive the applications you authorise us to send. To run the service we use hosting, payment and AI model providers (such as Groq and NVIDIA). Your chat messages and CV text are sent to these AI providers to generate responses, job matches and cover letters, and they act only on our instructions.
7. Storage and security
Data is stored on our servers and sent over encrypted (HTTPS) connections. Passwords are hashed, the Gmail token is encrypted before storage, and access is restricted.
8. Retention and deletion
When a subscription ends we stop sending applications. You can ask us at any time to delete your account, CV, derived information, application records and Gmail token by emailing the address below, and we will do so within 30 days.
9. Your choices
You can revoke Polaris's Gmail access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. After you revoke, we can no longer send email from your account.
10. Children
Polaris is not intended for anyone under 18.
